Spaces

An organization tool: if you want, you can pay to manage access and the combination of tools. Two ways: Personal (Quick Space) and Community (Space — join with link, license-controlled). In closed Spaces, contribution of hash signals can be limited to inside that Space.

Personal — Quick Space

Create a Space or join with a code. No license, no account. Ideal for ad-hoc meetings and sharing. You can later re-join as a Community Space (with license) if you pay; going from Community to Personal is free (re-join without license).

Community — Space

Spaces are an organization tool: pay to manage access and which tools are available. Create a Space or join with a code. License-controlled; admin can set max participants and delegate. In closed Spaces, contribution can be limited to inside the Space. A Community Space can become Personal by re-joining without a license (no payment).

P2P — no server traffic: In paid Spaces, chat, video, screen sharing, and LieCheck run peer-to-peer between participants. Our server only does signaling and a "ping": if someone is offline, you send a ping to the session; when they come online and hear it, the P2P connection is created. Your content never passes through our servers.

In the Space

Video

Video calls. Only the video service loads; share the link or code for others to join.

Open Video

Screen sharing

View-only: share your screen so others can see it. Choose entire screen, a window, or an application. Share the link or code for others to join.

For organizations

Organization Spaces support LieCheck with a dedicated list of sites, coordinator, and workers. License controls max participants and features.

Extensions can work in two ways:

  • Only for the organization — paid, closed. Extensions run just for that org; trust data stays inside.
  • For the community — extensions share their trust with others; contributions go to the global hash-based layer.
